Creative Scotland arts grant
Call for artists to work with young people in our communities
Wheatley Foundation has £5000 grants available for artists to run community projects aimed at building young people’s skills and confidence.
The Foundation, the charitable trust of Wheatley Group, is looking for people to develop music, dance, drama, graffiti and any other creative activities across central Scotland, including Glasgow and Edinburgh, and Dumfries and Galloway.
As well as boosting young people’s skills and confidence, the grants will provide much-needed opportunities for artists affected by the pandemic.
The funding is available after Wheatley Foundation secured £50,000 through Creative Scotland’s Youth Arts Fund Small Grants scheme.
The Wheatley Foundation is encouraging applications from artists/creative practitioners in the following areas:
- North West Glasgow, North East Glasgow and/or South Glasgow;
- Paisley / Johnstone;
- West Lothian;
- Edinburgh; and
- Dumfries and Galloway.
The Foundation will match successful applicants to groups in the communities.
Wheatley Foundation is hosting two information sessions on Thursday 11 February and Tuesday 16 February at 5pm.
