Do you want to work with an organisation that makes a difference to people’s lives? Come and join Wheatley Group’s Apprentice programme. We have trade apprenticeships available in roofing.
About the role
Our four-year programme offers our apprentices the opportunity to develop a career they can be proud of. This programme allows you to split time between on-the-job learning with experienced tradespeople while attending college to work towards gaining a recognised trade qualification.
No two days are the same, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing what you do really matters because everyone needs somewhere safe, warm, and affordable to live.
One of our recent Electrical Apprentices, Christianna, shares her experience and why she would encourage females to consider gaining a trade qualification:
“I have just completed my electrical apprenticeship with Wheatley Homes South and have now got a permanent electrician job.
“I felt very supported throughout my apprenticeship, and it was great to work alongside experienced members of the team to gain knowledge and skills first-hand.
“I would encourage females to consider this as a career route as it provides great opportunities for development and, although it felt quite daunting initially as it is a predominantly male environment, I have felt like part of the team since day one.
“I feel proud to be a female within this industry and hope that my journey inspires others to pursue a career within the trade industry.”
