The Group spans 17 local authority areas across Central Scotland, providing homes and award-winning services to over 250,000 people.
We are looking to recruit a Fire Safety Officer to join our Fire Safety Team.
You will be responsible for working with our tenants and other customers to promote fire safety in their homes and in shared common areas. You will be involved in developing fire prevention processes, operations and practices across the organisation and will be required to provide specialist fire safety advice on key risk areas, in accordance with best practice and legal requirements. You will also be responsible for monitoring fire precautions and ensuring the highest standards of fire safety.

You must also have previous and relatable fire safety experience along with experience in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and inspections. You must hold a current NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management, or equivalent qualification, and ideally be a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Institute of Fire Safety Management (IFSM) or Institute of Fire Protection Officers (IFPO).
The post is home-based agile but will require regular travel between Dumfries and Galloway and the central belt of Scotland. The role may involve some evening and weekend working, and you must hold a full driving licence.
