About the role

Wheatley Homes South, part of Wheatley Group, provides affordable housing and outstanding services for people in its communities across Dumfries and Galloway. Our in-house repairs team are spread between Stranraer, Castle Douglas, Dumfries, Sanquhar, and Annan, and they deliver repairs, maintenance, void works, and one-off investment replacement for customers across 11,000 Wheatley Homes South homes.

We now have a great opportunity for a Qualified Multi-Skilled Operative (Joiner) to join the team.

You will be responsible for delivering your core trade joinery repairs, as well as general multi-skilled repairs tasks in customers’ homes and preparing void properties for re-let.

Who are we looking for?

You will be qualified to SVQ in Carpentry and Joinery (Construction) at SCQF level 6 and can multi-skill in other trades.

A clean driving licence and basic disclosure check is required, as well participation in the out-of-hours service is required. Experience of working in social housing and occupied properties is desirable.
