About the role

Wheatley has a strong Procurement Team, which supports a wide range of procurement requirements across the organisation to deliver high-quality services and value-for-money to our customers.

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Category Specialist. To develop, agree and implement specific procurement strategies, using strategic sourcing techniques, best practice and sound contractual and commercial skills to support our growing new build and investment programmes. Specifically, we are looking for a procurement professional who can develop and process Wheatley’s requirements for technical consultancy services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and value are delivered.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who can develop effective processes and procedures for managing the creation of Wheatley frameworks, ability to maximise commercial competitions in accordance with public sector legislative procurement regulations.

We expect the successful candidate to manage the end-to-end procurement process for the category of consultancy and fleet, supporting the organisation's delivery of capital and investment works.

You should have a strong background in procurement with knowledge and understanding of technical services contracts. The future work plan includes procurement of a Wheatley-wide technical consultancy framework, alongside the replacement of the fleet contract for the organisation.

It is essential that you have completed or are working towards an MCIPS qualification, and it is desirable that you are educated to a degree level.
