Communities across central Scotland are being transformed as one of the biggest affordable house-building programmes in recent memory gathers pace.

Increasing the supply of affordable, quality housing in our communities remains a key focus for Wheatley.

Our ambitious new-build programme – ranging across Scotland from West Dunbartonshire to Edinburgh and the Lothians – will see thousands of more affordable homes built in the years to come.

In 2017/18 alone, 748 award-winning new homes were built in our communities.

Over the past three years we have built 1,900 homes from the east to the west coast of the country.

The new homes will primarily benefit customers of our Registered Social Landlords: GHA, Cube Housing Association, Loretto Housing Association, West Lothian Housing Partnership, Dunedin Canmore and Barony.

As well as homes for social rent, Lowther Homes, Wheatley’s commercial subsidiary, will also introduce even more homes for market rent – giving people another housing option.

We're also increasing the options for older people with new amenity housing. Amenity homes have special design features to help people with dementia or mobility issues and there are communal areas to reduce isolation.
