About the role

Are you passionate about quality, customer service, and delivering high standards in property maintenance? As a Technical Officer within our Repairs and Voids team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring major repairs projects and void works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards.

You’ll project manage, carry out site inspections, assess workmanship, identify defects and technical risks, and work closely with City Building Glasgow and frontline teams to drive continuous improvement. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the confidence to challenge poor-quality work while balancing customer expectations, compliance requirements and value for money. You'll also provide technical advice, support investigations into complex property issues, and use data and insight to improve service performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaboration and making a real difference to customers’ homes and communities.

Who are we looking for?

A degree and/ or professional qualification in a relevant discipline and driving license. We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused technical professional with experience in property repairs, maintenance or construction.

Most importantly, you’ll share our passion for delivering excellent services and improving homes and communities for our customers.

The successful candidate will receive:
