About the role
As a Housing Officer with Wheatley Homes East, you will play a key role in delivering excellent housing services and making a positive difference in our communities. The role will focus on supporting customers to sustain their tenancies, managing rent accounts, responding to neighbourhood and estate management issues, and working with partners to help create safe, clean and well-maintained communities. You will build strong relationships with customers, take ownership of issues through to resolution, and provide practical advice and support when it is needed most. This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same, and where your work will directly contribute to improving outcomes for customers and communities across Wheatley Homes East.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, organised and confident working with a wide range of people. You will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions. You should be able to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and partner organisations, while taking a fair, consistent and professional approach. Experience of working in housing, customer service or a similar frontline role would be an advantage, as would an understanding of tenancy management, rent collection and neighbourhood issues. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who shares our values, takes ownership of their work, and is committed to delivering excellent services and improving outcomes for customers and communities.
