Work pattern: 35 hours, Monday - Friday
Location: Agile Home Based with requirement to travel to local offices as required

About the role
The Group Financial Planning Accountant role will provide an excellent service to our customers across all areas of financial planning including, but not limited to, financial forecasting and long-term planning, decision support, project appraisal and reporting.
Reporting to the Group Financial Planning Manager, the post holder will support the annual business planning process for the subsidiaries and group. They will have responsibility for ensuring the integrity of our financial forecasting models and that our long-term financial projections are based on robust assumptions and reflect current accounting policies. The post holder will also have responsibility for preparing financial forecast information to meet our regulatory and key stakeholder reporting requirements. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation the Group Financial Planning Accountant will contribute to the delivery of key strategic initiatives and projects through the provision of high-quality financial information, financial modelling and advice.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of financial reporting in a complex group environment, ideally within housing or infrastructure. They will be proficient in the preparation of medium / long term financial forecasts and will have experience in working with financial models. The ideal candidate will be forward thinking with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement and will be adept at finding creative solutions for customers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as the role requires working with and preparing information for internal customers and external stakeholders. They should be able to demonstrate experience of managing a challenging workload in a busy environment and have experience of producing clear and accessible reports for senior management and boards. They should have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail and be skilled in Excel and the use of financial modelling techniques.
