Job title: IT Service Desk Engineer
Salary: SCP 23-26 (£31,270- £34,346) per annum
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months
Work pattern: 35 hours per week (shift work between 8am and 5pm)
Location: Home Based Agile Worker – This role will be primarily based from home with some travel to Wheatley Offices when required

About the role
The role will focus on helping to redefine our digital services across Wheatley Group.
Working closely with colleagues in our Digital and Technology Solutions team you will be responsible for:
providing first line support to 2,700 Wheatley Group staff across a range of applications and services;
working on end user devices, diagnose, document and resolve issues;
ensuring incidents are managed and escalated within agreed SLA timescales;
producing support and knowledge base documentation;
developing customer knowledge and information to encourage self-service support; and
compliance with Group policies and procedures.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have…
excellent customer service skills;
the ability to understand and translate customer issues into technical support tickets;
a positive, can-do attitude;
a logical approach to trouble shooting and problem solving;
the ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team;
the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
experience working to an ITIL framework;
technical experience in the following areas; Azure, Microsoft 365, CISCO, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (Azure Virtual Desktop), Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Windows 10 & 11, SolarWinds, LAN, WAN, VPN & Wireless; and
ITIL v3 Foundation accreditation or working knowledge.
