About the role

The primary role of the Visiting Officer is to check on the wellbeing of residents who are 60+ living in Wheatley Homes South, or our partners Sheltered Housing developments.  Visiting Officers promote and encourage independence to allow people to stay at home as long as possible and to provide housing support where required.  They liaise with families and other agencies regarding the welfare of the individual.

Welfare checks are carried out as often as the customer needs – this may be visiting in person, via telephone or through the care call system.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar support environment and have a sound understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards.

The post is subject to PVG registration.
